Minister of Communications of the Republic of the Congo Thierry Lezin Moungalla opened the SputnikPro lecture course, delivering a video greeting to the participants and organizers on Friday.
"Journalists from completely different Congolese media outlets gathered at the lectures. This symbolizes the dynamism and quality of the friendly relations between Russia and the Republic of Congo," the minister noted.
The launch of the SputnikPro educational course gathered journalists from several Congolese media outlets at the National Television and Radio Center near Brazzaville. The local media group Lа Nouvelle Republique partnered with the project.

"The goal of the project, namely the exchange of professional experience in journalism, is more relevant than ever. Today, the world is changing before our eyes. African states are demonstrating a desire to defend national interests and play an equal role in global processes. Africa is rightly declaring its intention to become a full-fledged center of the emerging multipolar world order," Ilyas Iskandarov, Russian Ambassador to the Republic of the Congo, commented.
Congolese media specialists participated in online workshops led by their colleagues from Sputnik Africa. Senior social media editor Anna Kalinkina showcased how AI tools can be used in media, while correspondent Anthony Lefebvre shared his podcasting tips and tricks.
