15 Caribbean countries to demand reparations from King Charles III and UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer over slave trade, according to the British media.
The Caribbean Community meeting in Samoa on October 21 will be reportedly the forum for discussing the issue.
The estimated amount of the claim is $270 billion.
US experts believe that up to 30 Caribbean countries may be eligible for such compensation, and not just from the UK, the media reported.
A 2023 report by International Criminal Court judges concluded that London should pay $24 trillion in reparations, of which $9.6 trillion should be allocated to Jamaica.
