The future Nigeria-Morocco gas pipeline will positively impact the countries it will cross along the West African coast, said the president of the African Affairs Committee at the Argentine Council for International Relations (CARI), Jose Nestor Ureta.

"Despite its high cost, the project will be very beneficial in the long term for the countries of West Africa,” the former Argentine ambassador to Nigeria told MAP, expressing his hope that this “very important” project will come to fruition soon.

"The work done gives me the impression that it will be very important for all these countries. It will create a series of opportunities," stressed this eminent member of CARI, an Argentine think tank that brings together the country's leading figures in the field of international relations.
He also recalled that Argentina relies on Morocco for the supply of fertilizers needed for its agricultural sector.
