Russian Energy Week 2024 Publishes Its Full Business Program

The main theme of REW 2024 is "Energy cooperation in a multipolar world." More than 20 sessions for engineering and technical staff of energy companies with the participation of more than 70 speakers are planned on the sidelines of the Exhibition of Equipment and Technologies for the Fuel and Energy Complex.

The official website of the international forum Russian Energy Week 2024 has published a full business program with speakers. The forum will be held in Moscow on September 26-28.

"The development of the Russian fuel and energy complex remains a key priority both for ensuring domestic growth and for strengthening international cooperation. In the context of global challenges, we continue to implement large-scale projects aimed at increasing the efficiency and environmental friendliness of the industry, as well as strengthening technological sovereignty. One of the key tasks is to ensure the sustainability of supplies and the development of new markets, which helps maintain economic stability and energy security of Russia and our international partners. Russian Energy Week serves as an important platform for discussing these issues in dialogue with our foreign colleagues," Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak is quoted in the press release as saying.

The forum will overall include about 30 events with the participation of more than 100 speakers, divided into thematic tracks: "International Agenda: Cooperation for Development," "Sustainable Energy Development," "Technology and Data as the Foundation of Leadership," "Development of Russia's Fuel and Energy Industry Sectors: Strategy and Regulation" and "Socially Oriented Fuel and Energy Industry."

"Today's challenges require coordinated and responsible actions by all energy market participants. The Russian Energy Week forum has become a key international platform where industry leaders, leading experts, and specialists discuss key issues of global energy security and stability. In the context of a changing global environment, Russia continues to demonstrate its readiness for constructive dialogue with foreign partners to jointly address the challenges facing the world in terms of maintaining the energy balance," said Anton Kobyakov, Advisor to the Russian president and Executive Secretary of the REW 2024 Organizing Committee.

The events of the thematic area "International Agenda: Cooperation for Development" will be devoted to finding ways to stabilize the global energy market, cooperation between Russia and African countries, as well as developing interaction within BRICS.
One of the key events will be a meeting of the energy ministers of the association's countries. Among the participants in the discussions will be present:
Secretary General of the Gas Exporting Countries Forum, Mohamed Hamel;
Venezuelan Executive Vice President and Minister of Petroleum, Delcy Rodríguez;
Iranian Minister of Energy, Abbas Aliabadi;
Equatorial Guinean Minister of Mines and Hydrocarbons, Antonio Oburu Ondo;
Chairman of the African Energy Chamber, NJ Ayuk;
Head of the GORKI Center (Geopolitical Observatory on Key Issues of Russia) of St. Petersburg State University, former Austrian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Karin Kneissl.
During the events of the Sustainable Energy Development block, there will be a discussion of the prospects for the use of hydrocarbons, effective energy transition, and ensuring technological independence of the energy sector.
The sessions will be attended by Alexey Likhachev, Director General of the Russian State Atomic Energy Corporation Rosatom, Aisen Nikolaev, Head of the Russian Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), Nyan Tun, Union Minister of Electricity of Myanmar, Alexey Kulapin, Director General of the Russian Energy Agency (REA) of the Russian Ministry of Energy, and others.
The key topics for discussion within the framework of the Technology and Data as the Foundation of Leadership direction will be robotization in the fuel and energy complex, technological sovereignty, artificial intelligence, and import substitution of equipment.
The guests of the discussions will be Vladimir Kolmogorov, Director General of En+, Andrey Yatskin, First Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, and Wen Peng, Chairman of SRON Silo Engineering.
Within the thematic block Development of Russia's Fuel and Energy Industry Sectors: Strategy and Regulation, experts will touch upon the issues of increasing electricity generation in the regions, functioning of the public utility infrastructure, development of the coal industry, and stimulation of consumption of gas motor fuel.
Participants in the discussions are the Russian Minister of Energy of the Russian Federation, Sergey Tsivilev; the head of the Russian Federal Agency for Subsoil Use, Evgeny Petrov; State Secretary - Deputy Minister of Finance of Russia, Alexey Sazanov; CEO, Chairman of the Management Board of Rosseti, Andrey Ryumin.
Participants in the events of the Socially Oriented Fuel and Energy Industry track will consider aspects of improving personnel approaches in the electric power industry, attracting and motivating personnel, as well as training highly qualified engineering and technical specialists. Speakers include: Deputy of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Oksana Dmitrieva, Chairman of the Council of the All-Russian public organization "Union of Oil and Gas Industrialists of Russia" Yuri Shafranik and others.

"Russian Energy Week will become an important platform for the final discussion of the draft energy strategy of Russia until 2050. We expect that partners from the BRICS countries will take an active part in this discussion, which will allow us to introduce new proposals to the document. We also plan to discuss with representatives of friendly countries the development and implementation of unified industry standards for the production of equipment for the fuel and energy complex," emphasized Russian Minister of Energy Sergey Tsivilev.

BRICS Energy Ministers Will Meet on Sidelines of Russian Energy Week, Putin Says
On the opening day of REW 2024, a scientific and practical conference, "Territory of Energy Dialogue 2024," will be held.
The forum also plans to award the international Global Energy Prize for outstanding research and scientific and technical developments that contribute to increasing the efficiency and environmental safety of energy sources on Earth in the interests of humanity.
There will also be an award ceremony for the winners of the international Energy of the Pen prize, designed to encourage journalists, observers, and experts writing about the most pressing issues of modern energy, including the transformation of the global energy balance, the development of new technologies, and climate change.
Russian Energy Week will end with the traditional Youth Day.
In 2024, REW will be held for the first time at two venues in central Moscow: in the Manezh Central Exhibition Hall, where the business program events will take place, and in Gostiny Dvor, where an exhibition of equipment and technologies for the fuel and energy complex will be organized.
As part of the exhibition, leading manufacturing companies, equipment suppliers, technology companies from all industry areas of the fuel and energy complex will present promising projects, breakthrough achievements, innovative equipment and advanced technologies to a wide audience.
