This year, Ethiopia will host the Days of Russian Spiritual Culture for the second time. The event will take place on September 25-30 in Addis Ababa and will feature a variety of cultural activities. The event is supported by the Russian Ministry of Culture, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Russian Orthodox Church, the Ministry of Culture reported.
"Ethiopia's recent accession to BRICS opens new horizons in cooperation between our countries, and of course, cultural exchange occupies a special place. Ethiopia is a country with an ancient and unique culture, which has been preserved to this day. It is very important that the Orthodox Church plays a great role in this country. This makes the holding of the Days of Russian moral culture in this country a unique phenomenon," Minister of Culture Olga Lyubimova noted.
The event will include a variety of cultural activities. Highlights include an exhibition commemorating the 500th anniversary of one of Moscow's oldest and most beautiful monasteries. In addition, the United Choir of the Moscow Theological Academy and the Trinity Lavra of St. Sergius (the spiritual center of the Russian Orthodox Church) will present a concert. There will also be a performance and masterclass by the world's largest puppet theater and a concert of Russian folk instruments.
