Egypt's Ministry of Health and Population announced that the number of injured in the Zagazig train collision accident in Sharqia Governorate has risen to 49, while three people lost their lives.
A total of 44 of the injured are expected to be discharged from hospitals in the coming hours, while the other five remain "under medical observation," according to a statement from the ministry.
A committee of railway specialists has been formed to determine the technical causes that led to the accident, stated the Egyptian National Railway Authority.
