Left-wing parties of the New Popular Front coalition will move a no-confidence vote against Michel Barnier, who has been appointed the country's new prime minister, the BFMTV broadcaster reported.
"We will move a no-confidence vote, and for good reason. I think that our partners in the New Popular Front ... will do the same," a lawmaker from the France Unbowed party, Eric Coquerel, told the broadcaster on Thursday.
In addition, the broadcaster reported, citing sources, that the Socialist Party and the French Communist Party will support the France Unbowed party in the move.
The 73-year-old politician was appointed to the leading position in the French cabinet by President Emmanuel Macron 60 days after the snap parliamentary elections were held in the country.
