Rosoboronexport Discussing With Partners Joint Development of Su-57-Based Aircraft

EL ALAMEIN, Egypt (Sputnik) - Earlier, the head of Russian state arms exporter Rosoboronexport told Sputnik that the company is developing a number of cooperation projects with African countries worth more than 50 billion rubles ($571.4 million).

Rosoboronexport is discussing with Russia's strategic partners the joint development of an aircraft based on the Su-57 fifth-generation fighter jet, Rosoboronexport Director General Alexander Mikheev told Sputnik.

"We are discussing with Russia's strategic partners the joint creation of an aircraft based on the Su-57 fifth-generation fighter," Mikheev said on the sidelines of the Egypt International Airshow, taking place at El Alamein International Airport.

Rosoboronexport Developing Cooperation Projects With Africa Worth Over $570 Mln
The Egypt International Airshow is taking place September 3-5 at El Alamein Airport in northern Egypt. According to the organizers, the exhibition presents the latest products and services in the aerospace industry. More than 200 companies from over 80 countries are attending the event. The exhibition has been organized with the support of the Egyptian defense and civil aviation ministries.
