Russian state arms exporter Rosoboronexport is developing a number of cooperation projects with African countries worth more than 50 billion rubles ($571.4 million), the company's head, Alexander Mikheev, told Sputnik.
"Today, we are developing a number of projects in the format of industrial cooperation with African countries in the field of licensed production of small arms and ammunition for them, as well as armored vehicles and combat high-speed vessels," Mikheev said on the sidelines of the Egypt International Airshow, adding that the total cost of such projects exceeds 50 billion rubles.
Rosoboronexport is also planning to develop joint ventures for the production and servicing of armored, aviation and automotive equipment and small arms, Mikheev added.
