"We support all efforts that contribute to a peaceful resolution of the Ukrainian crisis," the document read.
The summit participants have also urged the international community not to reduce investments in Africa due to the Ukrainian crisis, the document added. It points to the need to "support regional states in addressing global challenges such as food security, climate change and the energy crisis."
The FOCAC has been held by China and African states since 2000. It is held alternately in Beijing and in the capital of one of the continent's countries. The forum is considered an important platform for strengthening China's economic, political and cultural influence in Africa. One of the key objectives of the event is to promote projects of the Belt and Road Initiative.
The seventh forum was held in the Chinese capital in September 2018, and the eighth was held in November 2021 in Dakar.
