During talks with South African President Cyril Ramaphosa, Xi Jinping stressed the importance of Global South nations upholding their independence, unity, and cooperation in a complex world. He emphasized the need for international fairness and justice while reaffirming China's commitment to strengthening its partnership with South Africa on the global stage.
Following these discussions, both leaders signed the "All-Round Strategic Cooperative Partnership in a New Era," formalizing the upgraded relationship between the two nations.
The two sides signed a number of cooperation agreements, including on the BeiDou satellite navigation system, housing construction, trade, agricultural market access, and cultural heritage.
Ramaphosa is currently in China on a state visit. He will also participate in the upcoming Sino-African forum.
