On Monday, Gladkov said that residents of Krasnoyaruzhsky district were being moved to more secure areas due to the activities of the Ukrainian armed forces.
"Yesterday, residents of the Krasnoyaruzhsky district left their settlements. Due to the operational situation, more than 11,000 people left. Currently, about 1,000 people are in temporary accommodation centers," the governor wrote on Telegram.
Last week, Ukrainian forces crossed the border into Russia and launched an offensive in the Kursk Region, capturing several villages. Russian President Vladimir Putin, commenting on the attack, said that Ukraine had undertaken another large-scale provocation and was firing indiscriminately at civilian targets as well.
