Mali, Niger Cut Ties With Ukraine Over Its 'Terrorist Nature', Russian MFA Spokeswoman Says

Earlier, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said that the fact that Ukraine was cooperating with terrorists from the Sahel region was not surprising, and Moscow actively drew the attention of the international community to such actions by Kiev.

Mali and Niger have severed diplomatic relations with Ukraine as they experienced firsthand the terrorist nature of the Kiev regime, the Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman said.

"Two African countries have already cut diplomatic ties with the Kiev regime because the impact directly affected their nations; they confronted the manifestation of this very terrorist nature of the Kiev regime," Maria Zakharova told state media.

Political figures in various countries see what is happening and are attempting to distance themselves from diplomatic ties with Ukraine, Zakharova emphasized.
The official highlighted that this process is due to the "deep hibernation in which the international community has been under these Western, NATO lullabies."
Last week, the transitional government of Mali announced that it had severed diplomatic relations with Ukraine, and after that, the government of Niger followed the decision of the brotherly nation.
Earlier, nine Senegalese organizations condemned Ukraine’s support for armed groups in a statement, citing a video by Ukrainian defense intelligence spokesperson Andriy Yusov that confirmed Kiev's involvement in an attack on Wagner group in Mali.
They also criticized Ukraine for training militants in Africa and urged the international community to hold Kiev accountable.
In late July, Wagner group and Malian armed forces reported heavy losses after clashes with Tuareg militants. Following the events, Senenews reported that Mali and Mauritania were investigating Ukrainian military instructors' involvement with rebels in Mali.
