In an interview with Sputnik, Louis Gouend, the founder of the African Business Club, called for the development of cooperation between Africa and Russia in the renewable energy sector.
"It's easier and faster. This is the kind of energy we should start with; it will involve other sectors of the economy of African countries," he said.
Africa could also benefit from nuclear energy, but it is a "complex, long, and expensive issue," he said on the sidelines of a State Duma round table on energy cooperation with Africa.
