The Malian interim leader, Colonel Assimi Goita, inaugurated an agro-industrial complex led by Seydou Keita, former captain of the Eagles of Mali, on Tuesday in Mali’s town of Sanankoroba, cutting a ceremonial ribbon and touring the facilities.
The Seydou Diogo Awa Agro-Industrial Complex covers an area of seven hectares. It brings together six industrial production units, including a production unit for edible vegetable oil, oil cake, and livestock feed; a shea butter production unit; a soap production unit; and a plastic can manufacturing unit.
It will create around 400 jobs and more than 10,000 indirect jobs, with an investment of 14 billion CFA francs, or $23 million.
