The Central African Republic (CAR) is interested in enhancing dialogue with Russia in the fuel sector, Russian Ambassador in Bangui Alexander Bikantov told Sputnik, adding that no bilateral contracts for fuel supply have been signed so far.
"The issue of cooperation in the fuel sector was also discussed [at the 2024 St. Petersburg International Economic Forum]. Our partners have confirmed their interest in intensifying the dialogue in this field," Bikantov said.
The diplomat also said that the Central African delegation led by CAR Prime Minister Felix Molua discussed a wide range of issues related to bilateral cooperation on the sidelines of the SPIEF that took place from June 5-8.
Russia and the Central African nation have not yet signed any contracts to supply Russian combustible fuels, the ambassador added.
