South African President Cyril Ramaphosa, accompanied by a large delegation, will attend the BRICS summit scheduled to be held in October in Russia's Kazan, South African Ambassador to Russia, Mzuvukile Jeff Maqetuka, announced this during the 10th annual international scientific and expert forum "Primakov Readings."
"Ramaphosa will undoubtedly attend the BRICS summit. He has not missed a single meeting of this assembly. This summit will hold great significance for South Africa. A large delegation will accompany the president to Kazan," he said.
Russia's Kazan will host the 16th BRICS Summit on October 22–24, 2024. President of the Academy of Sciences of Tatarstan Rifkat Minnikhanov said that the summit will include planned meetings of the ministers of science, technology, and innovation, ministers of culture, and ministers of communications of the BRICS countries, as well as an academic forum for the association.
