Putin Orders Work on Measures to Help Russian Firms Improve Logistics & Trade in Africa, Asia

In late April, Russian Foreign Ministry official Vsevolod Tkachenko revealed that Russia is considering the creation of logistical hubs in Africa to improve infrastructure for better cooperation.

Russian President Vladimir Putin has ordered work on additional measures to help Russian companies improve logistics and trade with countries in Africa and Asia, according to the document published on the Kremlin's website.

"To submit proposals to provide Russian organizations with additional support measures aimed at creating sustainable logistics chains and infrastructure for foreign economic activity in new markets in Africa, South America, and Southeast Asia, including the development of mechanisms for coordinating the activities of interested state bodies and organizations," an extract from the document read.

This task should be carried out by the Russian government with the participation of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs.
