Ethiopia's recent achievements prove the country's reliance on foreign aid could be entirely eliminated, Ethiopia's Minister of Transport and Logistics, Alemu Sime, said during the discussions under the theme "From Aid Dependency to Productivity for Complete National Pride, Freedom, and Sovereignty."
Alemu Sime pointed out the progress in agriculture, specifically in producing wheat using irrigation during the dry season, and advancements in the industry sector.
The country's authorities need to take decisive action in order to achieve the country's objective of reducing aid dependency by effectively harnessing its natural resources, he underlined.
Last week, Ethiopia's prime minister noted that efforts are underway to decrease Ethiopia's dependency on foreign aid by utilizing its natural resources.
