Senegalese President Bassirou Diomaye Faye arrived Thursday in Mali. He was welcomed by Malian President of the Transition, Colonel Assimi Goita, in the country's capital, Bamako.
The Senegalese leader is accompanied on his first visit to Mali by the country's following senior officials:
Minister for African Integration and Foreign Affairs, Yacine Fall;
Minister for the Armed Forces, General Birame Diop;
Minister for Energy, Oil and Mines, Birame Souleye Diop;
Minister for Infrastructure, Land and Air Transport, Malick Ndiaye and others.
The aim of the visit is to strengthen the historic ties of good neighborliness, brotherly friendship, solidarity and multi-faceted cooperation between the two nations.
