What is Africa's Role in World's Space Exploration Efforts?

Africa is taking a more prominent position in assisting the world in space exploration. Additionally, space science and technology is an innovative approach to finding solutions to Africa's challenges. AfroVerdict host joins the CEO of South Africa's National Space Agency to discuss Africa's prospects in space science and technology.

Africa needs to focus on "strengthening national space programs" and "building regional space programs within the continent" in order to boost the potential of the Pan-African Space Program, according to Mr. Humbulani Mudau, CEO of the South African National Space Agency.
"As coverage becomes larger and expanded in that way, in us sharing the resources, sharing the expertise [...] we believe that as Africa, and these countries that are within the BRICS, we're going to contribute quite significantly into the Pan-African space program," Mr. Mudau says.
