Libya will start negotiations with the specialized Russian agency on deliveries of Aurus cars, Libyan Ambassador to Russia Mohamed Magrawi told Russian media.
"We will consider the possibility of supplying Aurus to Libya," Libyan Ambassador to Russia Mohamed Magrawi told Russian media on Tuesday. "We plan to start negotiations with the Russian specialized ministry on this issue. I am sure that Libya will appreciate the Russian Aurus on its merits."
The diplomat said he had purchased an Aurus Senat car. Thus, Ambassador Magrawi became the first foreign diplomat to purchase a Russian Aurus Senat car.
"After I saw Russian President Vladimir Putin for the first time in an Aurus Senat, I paid attention to this car. I sincerely admired its powerful image, exquisite design, technical characteristics, dimensions. Aurus has something that cars from other countries do not have," he said.
The ambassador added, "I would like to congratulate Russia on the fact that the Ministry of Industry and Trade and [research institute] NAMI have achieved such colossal results in such a short time. I have driven the Aurus more than a thousand kilometers, it is a great car, I am delighted with its comfort and reliability".
