Putin Arrives in Uzbekistan for State Visit

TASHKENT (Sputnik) - Russian President Vladimir Putin on Sunday arrived in Uzbekistan for a state visit, where he is expected to hold talks with his Uzbek counterpart Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

Putin is visiting the country at the invitation of Mirziyoyev from Sunday to Monday.
The leaders intend to discuss the current state and prospects for the development of bilateral relations, as well as exchange views on regional issues. The sides also plan to sign a package of bilateral documents during the visit.
In addition, Putin and Mirziyoyev will take part in the first meeting of the Russian-Uzbek Council of Regions.
