Burkina Faso's army acquired new military equipment, according to the local BF1 TV channel.
A convoy of trucks loaded with military equipment arrived in Ouagadougou on Tuesday to cheers from the crowds, as per the media.
Locals reportedly told the press of their "joy" and "pride" at the "unprecedented" purchase of various types of equipment by their army.
This purchase of weapons was made possible by contributions from the Burkinabes, a man in the crowd pointed out.
In January, the country's military received a batch of armored vehicles, more powerful missiles and various military equipment with a view to step up the fight against terrorism.
