Russia's Progress Center Working on Foreign Customers' Requests to Build Satellites, CEO Says

MOSCOW (Sputnik) - Russia's Samara-based Progress Rocket and Space Center is working on requests from foreign customers to build satellites, CEO Dmitry Baranov has said in an interview with Sputnik.

"We are working on requests about the possibility of manufacturing spacecraft in the interests of foreign private and state customers," Baranov said.
In particular, foreign customers are interested in the Aist-2T satellites that make it possible to carry out stereoscopic imaging of the Earth, he added.

The Aist-2T satellites are designed to take stereoscopic images of the Earth and create a 3D model of the planet. The two satellites will be able to receive information data to generate stereoscopic images and create digital terrain models, as well as monitor emergency situations.
