Russia considers new sanctions against media in the European Union’s political censorship and an attempt to remove alternative points of view from the information space, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said on Friday.
"We consider this move by the EU as a continuation of the practice of political censorship, total cleansing of the information space from any alternative viewpoints to Western narratives," Zakharova said in a statement, published by the ministry.
Moscow has warned that such steps against Russian media will not be left without response, Zakharova added.
