Astana will host a meeting of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Council of Foreign Ministers from Thursday to Friday, which will be chaired by Kazakh Foreign Minister Murat Nurtleu.
The foreign ministers of SCO member states will focus on preparations for the meeting of the SCO Heads of States Council, scheduled for July. They will discuss international and regional issues, as well as the prospects for the development of multilateral cooperation within the organization. A number of bilateral talks are expected on the sidelines.
Following the meeting, the diplomats are expected to sign several resolutions and adopt a communique.
