President of Guinea-Bissau Attends Victory Day Celebrations in Russia

On Thursday, Russia is celebrating the anniversary of the Red Army's victory over Nazi Germany, marking the end of fighting on the Eastern Front during World War II, known in Russia as the Great Patriotic War.

President of Guinea-Bissau Umaro Sissoco Embaló took part in the celebration of the Victory Day of the Soviet Union over Nazi Germany in the Russian capital Moscow.
The leader of the West African nation watched the Victory Parade on Red Square in Moscow next to Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Sissoco Embaló also came to the wreath-laying ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier near the walls of the Moscow Kremlin.
In addition to the president of Guinea-Bissau, the presidents of Cuba and Laos, as well as the leaders of Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Turkmenistan attended the celebrations in Moscow.
