Russia's armed forces have struck in the city of Stryi in Ukraine's Lvov Region near a railroad hub, a military airfield that was being prepared to receive Western-supplied F-16 fighter jets, and a factory, the hangars of which housed Western-supplied military equipment, Nikolaev underground network coordinator Sergey Lebedev told Sputnik, citing his colleagues.
"The city of Stryi, three strikes at 5:00 am [local time, 02:00 GMT]. The first explosion is roughly in the direction of the airfield, but local residents believe that it struck a railway hub, in a marshalling yard. According to reports from the resistance, work at the marshaling yard and adjacent warehouses has been busier than ever in the past two weeks," Lebedev said.
The second strike was in the area of a military airfield that was being prepared to receive F-16s, he said, adding that the airfield was still on fire and the explosion was heard from the direction of the airfield.
The third strike was in the direction of a forging plant, the hangars of which, according to the underground network, were hosting military equipment supplied to Ukraine by the West, Lebedev said, adding that military personnel were also there. He added that many ambulances without sirens but with beacon lights went there.
At 5:20 am, a strike was carried out in the town of Dobrotvor in the Lvov Region, Lebedev said, adding that it targeted the Dobrotvor thermal power plant. After the strike, the power supply in the town was disrupted, he cited the underground network as saying.
The Russian forces also launched a series of strikes in the area of the Darnytsia Railcar Repair Plant and in the direction of the Antonov Serial Production Plant in Kiev, Lebedev said.
