Ukrainian President Zelensky Put on Wanted List in Russia

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky was sworn in office in 2019. On March 31, Ukraine was due to hold a presidential election, which was called off. In late April, Kremlin noted that Zelensky's legitimacy will soon be questioned.

Russia's Interior Ministry has put Volodymyr Zelensky on its wanted list, according to the department’s database.
"Vladimir (Volodymyr in Ukrainian) Aleksandrovich Zelensky, January 25, 1978. Wanted under an article of the Criminal Code," the database reads. The crime for which he is wanted has not been disclosed.

The database also indicates his place of birth – the city of Krivoy Rog, Dnepropetrovsk region of Ukraine. Zelensky was born on January 25, 1978. In 2019, he became the president of Ukraine.
