Russian air defense systems have shot down several air targets that had been approaching the city of Belgorod, Belgorod Region Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov said on Tuesday, adding that there were no immediate reports of causalities.
"Our air defense system has activated over Belgorod and the Belgorod Region - several air targets have been shot down on their approach to the city. According to the preliminary information, no one was injured," the governor said on Telegram.
He said windows and the facade of a private residential building and a vehicle have been damaged as a result of the attack in the village of Razumnoye, adding that the consequences of the attack are being clarified.
A missile attack threat had been earlier introduced in the city and the region, and the governor had recommended residents to take shelter.
