Israel Asks Western States to Adopt Sanctions Against Iran, Foreign Ministry Says

TEL AVIV (Sputnik) - Earlier in the day, Israeli Foreign Minister Israel Katz said that he had sent letters to more than 30 countries, calling on them to impose sanctions against Iran's missile program and declare the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) a terrorist organization.

Israel had asked several EU countries, Ukraine, US, Canada, Japan and Australia to adopt sanctions against Iran, the Israeli Foreign Ministry told Sputnik on Tuesday.
The list of countries obtained by Sputnik includes Portugal, Belgium, Slovenia, the Netherlands, the Czech Republic, Luxembourg, Slovakia, Ukraine, Italy, Poland, France, Croatia, Hungary, Spain, Malta, Greece, Cyprus, Bulgaria, Romania, Japan, Australia, Paraguay, Argentina, Lithuania, Ireland, Sweden, Finland, Norway, Iceland, Latvia, Denmark, the United Kingdom, Canada, the United States and Germany.
