Malawi's President Lazarus Chakwera thanked Zimbabwe for aid to victims of last year's Cyclone Freddy.
He made his remarks at the meeting with Zimbabwe's Minister of Home Affairs and Cultural Heritage Kazembe Kazembe, who, in turn, thanked Chakwera "for his stance in support of the removal of the illegal sanctions imposed on Zimbabwe."
"We also spoke about the need to strengthen our relations in areas of economic trade and the need to cooperate in areas of policing to curb transnational crimes as well as challenges emanating from cybercrimes," Kazembe added.
After the cyclone killed over 300 people and displaced thousands in Malawi, Zimbabwe sent about 10,000 tonnes of mealie meal, cooking oil, blankets, clothing, sanitizers, soap and stationery to the storm-hit country.
