Vladimir Putin Meets With Other Russian Presidential Candidates

On March 15-17, Russian citizens went to the polling stations to vote for the country's next president. Vladimir Putin was re-elected as Russia's head of state with 87.28% of the votes, the country's Central Election Commission announced after processing 100% of ballots.

Along with Putin, three other candidates took part in the presidential race, namely Nikolay Kharitonov of Russia's Communist Party (KPRF) with 4.31% of the votes, Vladislav Davankov of the "New People" party with 3.85% and Leonid Slutsky of the Liberal Democratic Party of Russia (LDPR), who received 3.20% of the votes.
