Malian entrepreneur and the head of the Malian IBI Motors Group, Ibrahim Diawara, launched a taxi company with 100% electric cars, local media reported.
According to the media, the range of these electric cars reaches 300 km. These cars are powered entirely by solar panels. They will be integrated into the urban transportation system of Mali's capital, Bamako.
For this purpose, Diawara created a subsidiary called Angata, the outlet said. The name means "let's go" in the Bambara language.
IBI Motors also plans to build an electric vehicle assembly plant in Mali, which will create jobs and boost the local economy.
