Prime Minister of the Central African Republic Felix Moloua will pay a friendly visit to Russia, the Russian Embassy in Bangui said on Friday.
"On March 8, Russian Ambassador to the CAR Alexander Bikantov saw off Prime Minister of the CAR Felix Moloua at Bangui International Airport, who is heading to Russia on a friendly visit," the embassy said on Telegram.
Ambassador Bikantov told Sputnik that during his short visit to Russia, Moloua will visit St. Petersburg and Moscow, where he will meet with the Russian deputy Prime Minister and representatives of the energy and education ministries.
The ambassador noted that on Thursday he "visited a plot of land for a possible future Russian-Central African educational complex in the suburbs of Bangui, accompanied by the Minister of National Education of the Central African Republic.
"It is possible that this issue will also be discussed in Moscow," Bikantov added.
Late last year, CAR Foreign Minister Sylvie Baipo-Temon said in an interview with Sputnik that his country was in talks with Russia on the supply of Russian oil products to the African country.
He also disclosed that the Central African Republic is ready to discuss diamond mining issues with Russia at the level of relevant ministries.
