Russian forces have liberated the settlement of Lastochkino in the Avdeyevka area, according to the Russian Ministry of Defense.

"In the Avdeyevka region, units of the center group of forces liberated the village of Lastochkino and continued to improve the situation along the front line," the ministry said in a statement.

The Russian military also repelled an attack in the Rabotino village in the Zaporozhye region, while the Ukrainian forces lost up to 50 soldiers in the Kherson region, the ministry added.

According to the ministry, Ukrainian losses for the day amounted up to 1,175 people. Russian servicemen took more advantageous positions in the Donetsk and South Donetsk regions. Russian troops destroyed a launcher of a Norwegian-made NASAMS air defense system.
The defense ministry added that Russian air defense systems have shot down two Storm Shadow missiles, five HIMARS projectiles and over 60 Ukrainian drones in the past 24 hours.
On Sunday, the Russian army took full control of the city of Avdeyevka in the Donetsk People's Republic — an important stronghold, which allowed Russian forces to push further to the west, driving back the Kiev regime forces and preventing them from launching further attacks against Russian towns and cities.
