Means of electronic warfare have prevented a drone attack on an oil refinery in the Russian city of Yaroslavl, with no injuries or fire as a result of the incident, Yaroslavl Region Governor Mikhail Evraev said on Monday.
"The electronic warfare (EW) system of the Slavneft-YANOS oil refinery prevented a drone attack. Law enforcement agencies and special services are working at the scene. There are no injuries, no fire," Evraev said on Telegram.
The Novo-Yaroslavl oil refinery (PJSC Slavneft-YANOS) was put into operation in 1961. Since 1995, the facility has been part of the Slavneft oil company.
Currently, PJSC Slavneft-YANOS is one of Russia’s largest enterprises manufacturing petroleum products.
