Earlier in the day, Deby's administration said that he had departed from the capital city of N'Djamena to pay an official visit to Moscow at Putin's invitation.
The Chadian leader's motorcade drove along Moscow's Leninsky Prospekt Street, heading for the city center. Deby was provided with a Russian-made Aurus car with a motorcycle escort.
The two leaders are expected to discuss the prospects for the development of bilateral relations in various fields, as well as issues on the regional and international agenda, the Kremlin said.
