The state-run IRIB broadcaster reported that the number of people injured in the attack had risen to 211, while Iranian Minister of Health and Medical Education Bahram Eynollahi confirmed the death of 95 people in the twin explosion.
"Ninety-five people have been killed: some of them died on the spot, while others died after being transported to hospitals, due to the severity of their injuries," Eynollahi was quoted as saying by the IRNA news agency.
Earlier, the Fars news agency reported that 188 people were injured in the terrorist attack, citing Iran's emergency medical service.
The previously reported number of victims differs from that given by the minister due to the repetition of several names, IRNA said.
Iranian Supreme Leader Khamenei Pledges Tough Response to Organizers of Kerman Attack
Earlier in the day, Iranian media reported that at least 103 people had been killed as a result of two explosions at the entrance to the cemetery in Kerman, where people were heading to mourn the fourth anniversary of Iranian general Qasem Soleimani's death.
Soleimani, the commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps' Quds Force, was killed by a US drone strike in Baghdad on January 3, 2020. Washington claimed he was involved in organizing the attack on the US embassy in Baghdad on December 31, 2019. In response, Iran launched strikes on US bases in Iraq, including the al-Asad Airbase.
