Putin Holds Meeting of State Council on Issues Relating to Teachers and Mentors

The State Council of Russia is a constitutional state body established by the president in order to ensure the coordinated functioning and interaction of public authorities, determine the main directions of Russia's domestic and foreign policy, and the priority directions of the socio-economic development of the state.

Sputnik Africa goes live as Russian President Vladimir Putin is holding a meeting of Russian State Council dedicated to strengthening the role of teachers and mentors in Russian society.
The meeting is going to sum up the results of this year, which was dedicated to teachers and mentors of the country. Participants are expected to discuss measures aimed at increasing the authority of the teaching profession, as well as current problems in the development of the mentoring institutions.
The last meeting of the State Council was held on December 22, 2022, in the Grand Kremlin Palace, where issues of an implementation of youth policy in modern conditions were discussed.
