West Continues Hybrid War Against Russia, Supplies Kiev With Real-Time Intelligence Info: Putin

The Russian president's remarks came from his opening speech during an expanded Defense Ministry board meeting on Tuesday, held to summarize the results of 2023, set tasks for the next year and outline priorities for the development of the Russian army and navy.

The West continues to wage a hybrid war against Russia, supplies Kiev with intelligence information in real time, transfers weapons, Russian President Vladimir Putin said.
In this vein, the Russian leader noted that NATO activity in general has increased dramatically, with US forces, including aircraft, deployed near Russia's borders.
"Aggressive nature of NATO is no longer hidden, claims to global superiority are directly enshrined in US documents," he stressed.
Putin reiterated that Moscow will not abandon the goals of the special military operation in Ukraine. He pointed out that Russian troops have the initiative in the Ukrainian conflict and are doing "everything necessary."

"The enemy is suffering significant losses and has squandered reserves in an attempt to show results to the master," the president emphasized.

Emphasizing that "the myth of the invulnerability of Western military equipment has collapsed," Putin noted that deliveries of weapons and equipment to Russian troops have tripled compared to last year.

He added that the procurement of the most demanded equipment for the special operation has increased 7 times and it is necessary to constantly analyze the needs of the front.
Moreover, Russia's strategic aviation is being modernized, 4 Tu-160m missile carriers put into service, Putin revealed.
The leader also touched upon the nuclear triad, noting that its role has increased, and modern weaponry accounts for 95% of Russia's nuclear triad. The president disclosed that 15 Yars and Avangard launchers will be delivered by end of year.
The Kremlin said last week that Russia views the conflict in Ukraine as "a hybrid war that the United States is actually orchestrating against Russia." However, the Kremlin stressed that Ukraine will never be able to match Russia's potential, even with the West's support for Kiev.

Russian-Western Ties

Russia has done its best to mend relations with the West, but it has left nothing to chance by placing its bets on Ukrainian neo-Nazis, former Nazis, Putin said.
According to him, the West has also faced the fact that it is impossible to finally achieve its goals "and drag all of Ukraine to its side" by legal means.
Besides, Russia has been doing everything to establish normal relations with Ukraine for decades, the president added.

"For decades, we have done everything to establish normal relations with a neighboring state. It has always been said, and I continue to say, that this is a brotherly nation," Putin pointed out, adding that after the collapse of the Soviet Union, Russia was the only guarantor of Ukraine's security.

However, after the 2014 coup in Ukraine, Western countries behaved "by lawlessness" on the issue, forcing Russia to respond, the leader said.

Moreover, as far as relations between Russia and the West are concerned, Putin noted that NATO is ignoring its own promise, made in the 1990s, not to expand eastward, and now the alliance's forces are near the Russian state border. The head of state explained that the reason for such actions of the alliance is the unwillingness to see such a big country as Russia.
The Russian President pointed out that Washington deliberately dragged Russia and Europe into conflict, achieved its goal, but Moscow had no other options. Putin highlighted that Russia has not interfered and will not interfere in European affairs.
