The poll added that 27% of respondents said Washington was spending the "right amount" and 11% said the US was not spending enough.
In particular, dissatisfaction with government spending is most pronounced among Republicans, as 65% of them believe that aid to Ukraine should be reduced, and only 32% of Democrats think the same, the report said.
In addition, 40% of American voters consider the military and financial assistance that the United States provides to Israel also to be excessive, the report read.
The poll was conducted from December 5-6 and surveyed 1,004 people. The margin of error is 3.1 percentage points.
