"On October 24, at about 4 a.m. Moscow time [01:00 GMT], three unmanned boats of the Ukrainian Navy were detected by technical surveillance equipment in the northern part of the Black Sea. The area where unmanned boats were detected was hit by anti-sabotage missile and bomb systems," the ministry said in a statement.
A set of anti-mine and anti-sabotage measures is being implemented on the outer roadstead of Sevastopol Bay, the statement read.
Russia has been conducting a special military operation in Ukraine since February 24, 2022. Russian President Vladimir Putin has said the operation aims to "protect people subjected to genocide by the Kiev regime for eight years."
According to the president, the ultimate goal of the operation is to liberate Donbas and create conditions that guarantee Russia's security.
