Russia’s United Nations draft resolution makes sure that all options in prevention of arms race in space are dealt with but the countries have to deal with their differing opinions within the group, the Russian Foreign Ministry Non-Proliferation and Arms Control Department Deputy Director Kosntantin Vorontsov said on Friday.

"The proposal by Russia is aimed at ensuring continuous and successive consideration of all aspects of the prevention of... arms race in outer space and doing this inclusively, comprehensively and in line with established practice," Vorontsov told the First Committee members on Disarmament.

The countries working in a group on this issue, however, are in disagreement and differentiate in their opinions, he added.
