Russia and Vietnam have reached agreements on the construction of wind farms in the republic, Russian Energy Minister Nikolai Shulginov said.
The Russian minister noted progress in cooperation in the development of renewable power generation.
"Certain agreements have been reached between Russian and Vietnamese companies on the construction of wind farms on the territory of the republic," Shulginov said as quoted by the ministry.
During the meeting, the ministers also discussed interaction on the supply and joint production of oil and gas resources, cooperation in the coal sector and in the electric power industry, in terms of modernization and construction of new electric power facilities in Vietnam.
After the meeting, the ministers signed protocols to existing intergovernmental agreements aimed at developing geological exploration and production of oil and gas on the continental shelf of Vietnam.
The Russian Energy Week is being held in Moscow on October 11-13, bringing together high-ranking officials and representatives of leading energy companies from over 60 countries.
