On October 11, the CSTO launched the joint training "Unbreakable Brotherhood-2023" at the "Edelweiss" training range in Balykchy, a town near Lake Issyk-Kul about 180 km south-east from Kyrgyzstan's capital Bishkek, according to the Russian Defense Ministry.
About 1,500 servicemen from Kyrgyzstan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Russia and Tajikistan, more than 200 units of armored and motor vehicles, Mi-8, Mi-17 and Mi-24 helicopters, Su-25, Su-30 and Il-76 aircraft, unmanned aviation and combat boats are involved in the training, the ministry said.
