US entrepreneur and billionaire Elon Musk has accused Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau of trying to destroy freedom of speech in his country after the Canadian government introduced new regulations regarding online platforms providing streaming services.
"Trudeau is trying to crush free speech in Canada. Shameful," Musk said on X.

On Friday, the CRTC announced new rules for streaming services, requiring online platforms generating annual revenue of more than 10 million Canadian dollars ($7.4 million) to complete registration by November 28. The agency added that registration requirements apply to social networks and other online services.
