Egypt is aiming at reaching 30 million visitors by 2028, as its once-thriving tourism sector has begun to recover from the fallout of the COVID-19 pandemic and the start of special military operation Ukraine, Egypt's Tourism and Antiquities Minister Ahmed Issa said during an interview with the Associated Press.
"We're seeing unparalleled demand, unprecedented demand for travel into Egypt," Issa was quoted by the media as saying.
The Egyptian Museum in Cairo, which was opened in 1992, attracts an average of 10,000 visitors a day, according to the museum director Ali Abdel-Halim, the media revealed.
