Russian, Tunisian Top Diplomats Hold Presser

On Sunday, Tunisian Foreign Minister Nabil Ammar arrived in Moscow for a two-day working visit at the invitation of his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov. During the the talks in Moscow, the ministers focused on issues of bilateral cooperation and the international agenda.

Sputnik Africa goes live as Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and his Tunisian counterpart Nabil Ammar are holding a press conference after bilateral talks in Moscow, Russia.
The main topics of the talks were cooperation between the two countries in various areas of mutual interest, grain supplies, as well as the most topical issues on the international agenda.
Lavrov visited the North African country in January 2019. During the visit, he met with then-president Beji Caid Essebsi and other high-ranking officials. According to the Russian Foreign Ministry, the meetings and talks showed that Russia and Tunisia are focused on coordinating efforts to boost long-term and multifaceted cooperation.
